CAN YOU CATCH FRANK THE FOX?
THE PLAY:
_
Frank the Fox is a imaginative play for kids in the age of 4-8 that aims at creating shared memories and playful experiences together with their parents. The game itself consists only of very few physical objects and therefore encourages the children and their parents to use their imagination in order to make the game come alive.
By combining imagination, collaboration with a challenging story, the game enables the children and parents to create a play together instead of one entering the others play.

“…Although freeplay is by definition child-led, adults have a crucial role in providing a suitable environments and in facilitating children’s experiences…”

THE PLAY EXPERIENCE:

GAME ELEMENTS:
_
Providing simple physical elements like the badge and handcuffs, allows the kids to enter and act within their role, much faster.
FIELD TESTING:
_
On a cold november morning I were lucky enough to get a couple of families to test the play for me. I order to get as broad as possible feedback I approached the 4 families differently. Two families completed the play by their own, another familiy i've observed and the last family I followed closely with my camera.
Thanks to all families for being open towards doing the fieldtest and especially for staying trough the shitty weather!
